The school year is coming to a close, and I’m sure many of you already have your “days left of school” countdowns going. With the end of the school year the Student Leadership Committee (SLC) will need a new crop of members for the next year. The SLC is a vital part of Upward Bound. The SLC coordinates the Talent and Multicultural Fashion Show, plans a complete Saturday Session, and leads other activities throughout the school year. JUNIORS: Tonight’s ACT Workshop has been CANCELLED due to the incoming snow. We’ll see you at Thursday’s workshop!
SENIORS! If you missed our Saturday Session you missed a great chance to get some serious work done. But all is not lost! Use this form to create some personal accountability for yourself and keep track of what you’ve completed and what you need to get done. Give your Advisor a copy, and it will help keep us in the loop on what you have left to do for any applications and scholarships you are still working on or have completed.
I know you’ve heard it a thousand times, but hear it three more: SCHOLARSHIPS, SCHOLARSHIPS, SCHOLARSHIPS!!!
Keep workin’ hard! 5 months left!
Welcome to our new Upward Bound blog! This is the new hub for all things Upward Bound at Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Coon Rapids. We’ll be sharing updates, event recaps, pictures, articles, helpful hints, career spotlights and more. We’ll also be connecting to our student Facebook group and Twitter feed. Items posted here will be shared on other platforms as well (and as always shared at Tutoring by Advisors) so if you prefer one of the other spots as your access point you won’t need to change a thing.
Please bear with us while we work out some of the kinks. We encourage you to comment on posts, ask questions and suggest ideas to us about what we can do to improve your experience.
